The European ALMA community is looking ahead into the future!
The ALMA 2040 is the initiative that builds upon the successes of the past decade and the ongoing ALMA Wideband Sensitivity Upgrade. in response to the announcement from ESO about the start of the search for its next astronomical ground-based programme for the 2040s (https://next.eso.org/).  To get involved fill users are invited to fill in this form to indicate availability for various actitivites.
A series of workshops will take place in Europe in 2025 to discuss the scientific interests of the ESO (sub-)mm community in such a future facility, define the key scientific questions that cannot be tackled with current and upcoming facilities in next decade, and ultimately determine the required technical capabilities.
